Pansies flowers are part of the Violaceea family and are wild flowers of European origins.
It was introduced in North America, where it spread across vast territories, grasslands and deserted regions, especially on acidic or neutral soil. It usually grows in partially shaded dark places and blooms from April to September. The flowers may be purple, blue, yellow or white. They are hermaphrodite and fertile, pollinized by bees.
This plant can be annual or perennial. Its height can reach a maximum of 25 cm in maturity. The leaves have elliptical shape.
The petals are large, rounded and beautifully coloured, and can be monochrome (yellow, white or violet) or in a mixture of three colors, from which the names of three-brothers-stained.Due to its medicinal properties it became an intensely grown plant starting with the 16th century. The petals are used for infusions.
The plant contains: pentacyclic triterpenoid saponins, volatile oils, an alkaloid (violin), flavonosids (viola- cvercetinozidă same rutoside), anthocyanosides, a heterosides of methyl salicylate, salicylic compounds, mucilage, vitamins A, C, beta-carotene and tannins.
Actions: healing, epithelisant, antimicrobial, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory.
Recommendations and usage:
- arthritic pain: apply in the form of compressions;
- infectious and allergic wounds: apply in the form of compressions or washing.
Ingredients/100ml: demineralized water, propylene glycol, the aerial part of the pansy - 14 g, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate.
Does not contain artificial colorants or allergenic substances. Quantity: 50 ml Warning: - children under 12 years old, pregnancy and breastfeeding, never use for longer than 8 continuous weeks. Stop using the product in case of allergic reactions; - keep out of reach of children.
